Perspective is a crazy thing. Four months ago, I was thinking it's so long until May. When people start a diet plan, looking down the road it seems almost endless. And then when you look back, you think that didn't take so long after all. If you're reading this and thinking about whether to try DTG, I can only tell you why I finally did it and hope it strikes a chord.
I've been overweight for a long time. Once, in college, I got down to 135 and fit in size 10. I was 5' 10" so for me, that was pretty darn skinny. I'll never get into 6's or 8's. But it was all downhill from there. Or uphill, I guess. I always had "reasons" why I wasn't able to lose weight. The one I used most often was the "life is short, eat dessert first" argument. I would say that we need to enjoy life, which meant having ice cream or brownies or chocolate when I wanted it. Sound familiar?
Here's the thing. Being overweight makes life shorter. Eating healthy extends life and makes it easier to enjoy it. Just a few short months can make such a difference in your life. Really, what do you have to lose? You've spent money and time on so many other ways to lose weight. Why not try one that actually works?
Week 17 Starting Weight: 191.0
Week 17 Ending Weight: 188.8
Week 17 Weight Loss: 2.2 lb
Total Weight Loss: 20.6 lb
So I've crossed the 20 pound mark. 20 pounds! Now I'm going to go enjoy the day.

Congratulations on your loss this week of 2.2 pounds and your total loss of loss of 20.6 pounds.
You are also right that diet-to-go works and it also tastes good and is easy to prepare.
