Taste and Smell

Not a big surprise that Mom has a new favorite. She tried the Chicken Alfredo Melt last night. That is, beyond a doubt, the best meal DTG has. She wasn't too impressed with the Roasted Tomato and Basil soup. Said it was too spicy even for her and it was a little disappointing after the week and a half of dietary deliciousness she's experienced.

I had the Italian Pomodoro for the first time. I changed our menu to get that instead of the Lobster Ravioli. Two meatballs bigger than golf balls, about the size of a small lime. Lots of noodles and sauce and sprinkled with shredded cheese. I assume the meatballs were turkey and not beef but I couldn't really tell. I also liked the side being both broccoli and cauliflower. So it was really good.

Even with five weeks menus, there are some meals that you get a little tired of. That's part of the reason I like getting six days. I can mix up the Friday pickup to replace a meal that I don't want anymore. Same goes for the special dinners. I can put those in and out of the menu for a change of pace.

I'm slowly getting things done around the house. We hope to have our orders this week so I can actually plan days for movers and cleaners. I got Nicky's closets cleaned out and his bathroom mostly emptied. I also did under the bathroom sinks. If you've never had professional movers before, you may not know that there are things they won't move. Cleaning supplies and candles among other things. So I started filling a box of things we have to move from under the sink. I also threw out things that I had forgotten about for the five years we've been here. Since Nicky has eczema, I don't wear perfumes or lotions other than his hypoallergenic lotion. So I had body sprays and perfumes that I haven't used in years. And believe me, perfume goes bad. Ewwwww.
