I'm curious. Have you noticed that negligible has the same root as negligent? So I'm wondering what I neglected this week. Stress was quite a factor. I neglected to eat all my meals this week due to time and giving Nicky things he may enjoy like the smoothie. The point is that after failing to negotiate a better answer, I failed to post a negative number.
Today was a better day. Benadryl early to cut off any potential itching. Phone calls to providers and insurance companies to get a referral to a new doctor. Mentally writing a very nasty letter to the doctor, the hospital, my insurance company and any other individual/company that I can find online to complain to. Playground, nature center, walk around a pond where we lay on our bellies and watched a goose dive underwater repeatedly.
Did you know that calories burned depends on your weight? It's interesting finding calculators online to find actual calories burned for my walk. There's also calculators for the actual number of calories you should be getting instead of the generic answer. Those are interesting.

I read something somewhere that said the contestants on the Biggest Loser use a formula where they multiply their current weight times seven to determine the number of calories they should be eating to lose weight. Then of course they exercise 5-6 hours per day, so that number is probably bigger than people like us would need. But the theory is that as you get thinner, of course the lesser number of calories should be eaten.
ReplyDeleteSame thing goes with exercise but in the opposite direction... the less you weigh, the easier your body moves (thus, less exertion) and so the more you have to exercise to get the same benefit. Bummer from both ends... you get less food and have to do more exercise the cuter you get! :)
Hang in there Donna, hopefully this week will be better. I know it must tick you off not eating all the food and your reward is no loss, not fair, right? I've heard that stress creates hormones that interfere with your metabolism. I've also heard that under eating what your body needs can cause you to stall. Hopefully the playground, nature center, and walk around the pond will get things moving again. Watching a goose dive underwater repeatedly while laying on our bellies, COOL!
