Check out lunch for today. Look at the sheer amount of food! Chicken pesto sub with cheese and tomato, chickpea and spinach salad, pineapple, and chocolate pudding. Seriously! I love this pesto sauce. You know, a pasta dish with this pesto on it would be quite tasty. (hint, hint)
One thing I've realized this week. It's not enough to cut calories. You need to eat healthy also. Cutting calories will actually harm you if you also cut out your nutrients. By letting DTG handle all the thinking, I've been actually eating better this week, even though I'm eating fewer calories. I can tell the difference in the amount of energy I have, chasing Nicky around the house a lot more than I did just a week ago.
So I guess you're curious as to any weight-loss results. I can do this Biggest Loser style, which I am a fan of. But I watch it Tivo'd so I can fast-forward through the screaming and crying. There's no way I would put up with someone yelling at me the way they do. And I realize that the mental aspect is a part of weight loss but there's way too much crying.
Oh, I do my weight loss every week at approximately the same time on the same day. Eliminate as many variables as possible.
Anyway, so Week 1 weight: 209.4
Week 2 weight: 206.8
Week 1 weight loss: 2.6 pounds.
Not too shabby!
Hi Donna,
ReplyDeleteGreat Job!
Steve here, I'm also using the diet-to-go food and haven't had lunch yet, I'm getting a late start today. I must agree the food is very tasty and that chicken sub the other day was like not being on a diet at all. Keep up the great work!
yay for 2.6- that's fabulous. The best thing I read so far is about your energy level. Feeling better in that way (more energy) is priceless (and worth any cost!), it makes like so much more enjoyable!
ReplyDeleteCheers to you, Donna!
